Hello, my name is Alison Dickerson and I am the Group Scout Leader for Park Wood Scout Group.

We have a Beaver Colony (6-7 year olds) which meet on saturday mornings from 9.30 – 11am, Cubs (8 -10.5 years old) and Scouts (10.5 -14 years old) meet on friday evening from 6.15- 7.45 all at Tree Tops School. All section take part in different activities including making things, games, compass work, knots, camping, rock climbing, hiking & Sleepovers. We often go to the Kent Scout Centre in Sandling where the children can climb, cave, archery and other outside activities. The beavers will do easier things than the cubs and the scouts do the hardest. With knots beavers learn reef knots, the cubs Bow line, sheep shank and the scouts should be able to do all the knots that are required.
We recently received an award from Bear Grylls, Chief Scout, for the group that has grown the most in our district.
I along with another leader run the Beavers and we have others to run the other 2 sections, but we are always looking for help. We know some people don’t want to commit every week but occasional helpers are always welcome. You can contact me by email or by phone on 07803815118
We would appreciate any help you can give.

We also have groups right across the East and North of Maidstone so there is sure to be one near you. Check out their websites HERE to find your local group.
